infinti needs a 500+hp car in their line up.
m5 has 500hp now (im sure they will increase output)
cts-v has 550hp,granted it has a s/c.
infiniti should just offer a s/c on the m56.
I'd guess the output would be from 500-600hp,then go play with the amg's & bmw m's.
or just give it a single large turbo.

they only got 18hp on a 3.7 probably not much more you could do with a stock 3.7. Imo it does not mean the 5.6 can't be done to the exceed thoose gains.the 5.6 has alot more if they want it/need it to be.
420hp for stock m56 is a good starting point.
if it was 420whp then I'd say ok,now I'm interested.

I vote 5.5 Twin Turbo over the 6.2 (6.3).

I just don't believe that. I honestly believe they don't think they can compete with the M so just aren't going to. I love Infiniti, I really doubt I'd ever buy a BMW, but I have no problem admitting how elite the M series is. I think Infiniti is trying to catch some midddle market that can't quite afford the M, but wants a performance vehicle. Only time will tell if there is actually a market there or not.

It's pretty simple for a company the size of Nissan to build a M3/M5 like vehicle. Look at their success with the GT-R and their racing program. The problem is that Infiniti doesn't have the cache of BMW or MB so noone would pay the $80,000+ that would be required to charge for it.

For Infiniti this comes back to what it always comes back to - brand awareness, prestige, recognition or whatever you want to call it and how it translates to the consumer.
