This has to be some kind of JOKE... This is what IPL has to offer?I thought for sure this thing would have atleast 400HP!!!If Infiniti is trynna compete with the M's and AMG's they need to go back to the drawing board.I'm NOT feeling it...

SC G. It's just too simple a concept I guess.
Datsun PR folks speaking and taking questions at a circa 1972 Group Z meeting, Branding Iron Resturant, Anaheim, CA. "We will never put a trubo on a Z. It's just way too complicated!" At the time there was a Crown Turbo'd Z in the parking lot.
I think they'll do it.

Nice find, they did answer my questions, just took some time.
However they may not give you the answer your looking for.
How will the IPL G compete with the current G coupe after its next facelift?
IPL models are designed to coexist with and build upon the great performance, luxury, and technology features of the standard models on which they are based.

I found a video where Infiniti shows off the IPL G coupe.
YouTube - Infiniti's Channel
My fave part is where he describes the red leather stitching as "aggressive" at around 3:04 into the video. Luckily, their marketing spokesmodel, er marketing droid, backed off from the aggressive seating narrative quickly.
The end of the video clip notes that customers often times modify their car, but noted further that if you choose to go the IPL route, you get a full warranty. What he neglected to mention was the rather pedestrian power increases and suspension changes that haven't been tested at track yet. If I recall correctly, the Nismo Z's didn't perform any better than their non-Nismo counterparts and worse in some cases.

Looks like an IPL convertible is going to be released at the Paris Auto Show. Infiniti is also going to release a zero emissions vehicle in 2013, obviously based off of the Nissan Leaf but now with more luxury!
