Yeah, pearl is very nice on white, but I prefer the striking flat white and black colors on cars when done right. Like our Black Obsidian is a very deep, very flat black with no metallic flakes and it is just amazing.

White is boring as is, and I like how pearl gives it some personality, but Infiniti's Ivory Pearl does have a creamy, yellowish tint to it which turns me off. Lexus and Toyota have beautiful pearl white colors with a more vibrant tint with more red and blue hues in them that have always attracted me.

Toyota Supras in the 90s had a flat white color (I think it was called Hyper White) that was just AWESOME. Infiniti's Moonlight White reminds me of it and I think that's why I like it so much. Pair a MW Infiniti with deep, dark ceramic tint and dark overlays all-around and you're left with one sexy ride.

+1^

I actually had a white '90 Supra... definitely more of a matte finish than glossy/pearly.

That said, PGFTW!

Models
¡ G37x AWD Coupe
Mechanical
¡ Intelligent All-Wheel Drive ¡ Electronically controlled 7-speed automatic transmission with Adaptive Shift Control and manual shift mode with Downshift Rev Matching
Exterior
¡ Scratch Shield paint
Interior
¡ Dial-type seat heater switches
Color and Trim
¡ Add Moonlight White (QAA) ¡ Delete Ivory Pearl (QX1) ¡ Washi-finish trim replaces aluminum trim for driver and passenger interior door pull handles (does not apply for vehicles with African rosewood interior trim)
Convenience
¡ Power door locks with automatic locking"

Minus the AWD, I'll take the rest that should have been on the '08 (AWD will add too much weight and it doesn't snow in South Texas so RWD works for me). Self healing paint, 7AT, washi-finish replacing aluminum trim on door handles, etc. Sign me up for an '09!!!!

Why would you wait for the 2010? Anything I should know that I'm missing?

My dealership sales manager just sent me an email saying he sent his order for the AWD G37 and that they should be getting here by end of September beginning October. Keep in mine this is the same guy that told me to not buy the G37 last February as I had worries about the RWD configuration after the harsh winter we were having. He also said to pass by since he had some preliminary info if I wanted them.

For the new feature of "Auto Door Locking" in the 2009 model, would the dealer be able to add that option on a 2008?

I know there is a KP Technology item for that, but just want to know if this "setting/option" can be installed with the factory one from the 09 model??

I haven't heard that officially yet, but it definitely jives with the spec material that is slowly leaking out so far. If so, it goes along with the G35x sedan when it first came out as well. They only recently added the S option on the G35x as a second year refresh. I would think they would do the same with the Coupe and offer a G37XS as a 2010 MY.
