But seriously. I think car heads like us think about things like gears etc, but the average (doesnt nissan say the avg buyer is 47?) g owner/shopper doesn't really care.
Honestly, unless they go duel clutch, I dont think more gears are the answer. Nissan auto trannies are better than most, but a dual clutch is the only thing worth investing in at this point.

I think it's s stretch to say that the '09 sedan will have the 3.7L engine. We know that the new V6 FX is going to have the VQ35HR while the euro version has the VQ37VHR. I have a feeling that the sedan will keep the 3.5 and maybe both the coupe and sedan will get the upgraded 7AT that the FX is getting, but until the info is released later in the year, who knows

Personally, I'd hope that they also fix the soft paint issue with the G. Maybe the self healing paint or at least a protective coating in addition to the possible 7AT.... SOMETHING!!!!

Example (taken from a review of the new FX50 that has the 7A):
Gearshifts are really quick and with seven to choose from, it never falls out of the power.

The 7AT is currently in the European version of the G37.
