Exactly why I am considering ECU management and tune. The few that have tried the Crawford/MREV2 have experienced lean AFR's. Plus getting more HP/TQ out of my G is an awesome thing. Thanks.

its not that hard to learn how to tune it yourself. the tuner PRO is more for a standalone unit for people without the utec.
just get the bosch tuner wideband and the utec. i love it.

no the factory knock sensor works just fine. that tuner pro is not limited to any certain type of car. it is a self contained fully functioning wideband/knock light/audible knock sensor unit.
not worth any extra money for what we are using it for

well you cant raise the rev limiter with the Greddy. i love the greddy. the user interface is soooo much more fun. if you already have a reflash i would do that. the greddy has a target AFR that takes a lot of the work outta tuning also.
here are a couple things that the greddy doesnt have or do....
the utec has knock sensor gaurd that retards the timing if it senses knock. Great safety feature. of course you can set the rev limiter and the utec has a spare solenoid driver.
both great units

Does the greddy do anything to prevent the dreaded knock? If not, sounds like the UTEC is safer or offers more protection of the engine.

well the right fuel and timing mixture will prevent the knock... they both do that. what the utec does is when it senses knock it will retard the timing immediately till the knock goes away. this is a safe feature that i really like.
both great units. they both have good points...

map sensor is really easy to install, basically just look at it. it has a vacuum line and a plug that plugs into the utec. thats it.
i would take down the stock ecu, take off the bracket that holds the stock ecu. mount the utec to the stock unit, then zip tie it up in the stock location, it works the best. its too big and its even tighter in a G.
good luck, what do you have done to your car??
