700+, man you car is going to be a beast! You are going to have to be real gentle on the gas around corners in a car like that !
Are you going for a 8.3 compression ratio and a twin turbo set up? You might run out of gas before you can complete a 20 min session next time ! Just some info - I choose to stay with the stock compression ratio since it gives me so much low end torque, which is great if you don't want to downshift, which could cost a little time?

well since i am closer to closing on it, i will be getting a darton sleeved block, 9 to 1 arias extreme duty, ported heads,650 injectors, pauter rods, 1mm larger valves, arp everything, greddy TT kit everything ceramic coated (turbos, manifolds, piping),koyo radiator, tuned with my utec, etc etc... i am just going to yank out his motor and throw it in my car, it will be fun!!!

its in my good good friends car and he left for the army, he gave me a great deal on the car (G35) so i couldnt pass it up. i will know 100% tomorrow on the loan from the bank.

it will be safe to over 700 but i wont push it past 550. at least for a while, actually anything over 500 on the street is pointless...

track events i will just run open wastegates...

Awesome! The motor is staying in Orlando!!! I deserve a ride, right?

What are you going to do with the G35? Are you just going to switch engines?

Congrats on purchasing Alan's motor/car, Jeremy. His engine coupled with your stripped out car will make it lightning fast. As if it wasn't already...

Definately post up some pics and maybe a long DIY thread on how you plan to swap the motors.

I will be in Sebring on the 22nd to go check it out. Probably won't be driving...chit. I can't not check it out since it's only 7 minutes from my house. Is anyone else going? Eric and Jeremy if you go you can crash at my place if you want...plenty of room.

I'm looking for a racecar and a club now.

For a racecar - here are the good options for a first race car:

Spec E30
Spec Miata
Acura Integra w/o VTEC
944

And these cars have many different club races that they can race in. These may not seem like exciting cars, but if you are not sponsored, than these are the cheapest racecars to own. NASA is a good start for a club to race at. Yet, all club's will require a race licence which means you got to start going to events, and you don't have to drive your race car, just a well maintanted car. Heck, Levent has seen a Explorer at one of the events.
