Quick for my Steak peeps:Mortons or Capital Grille Or...?
I'm looking at making reservations for v-day (Gotta do it early.. last year I got screwed doing it so late) and have it between Mortons and Capital Grille... any recommendations between the two of them, or another place (Not Smith and Wollensky, I've been there twice, trying to find a new place)

As an Executive Chef who's old stomping ground was Miami for 7 years, I would recommend Capital Grille. Mortons is a landmark and is a bit old school with their menu selections and creativity. Capital Grille is a little more main stream with current flavors and menu pairings. Both places offer great Steak for a high price (Well worth it and whatever restaurant you choose, you wil get lucky). I could highly recommend getting a Dry aged Prime steak (whichever cut you and your companion like) 'cause it will be well worth the price and experience. Good luck and even though you think you are planning ahead with reservations, many restaurants are already booked for this night.

I prefer the Capital Grille over Morton's. I been to both; Morton's didn't impress me, though.
Might I also suggest Don Shula's in Miami Lakes. That's my favorite steakhouse. Had a good sized 30th b-day party there, and many other memorable dinners.
one more suggestion........The Forge. Excellent menu. by far the best wine selection in south florida (possibly all of florida). Ask them to give you a tour of their wine cellar. It is IMPRESSIVE!!!!! many millions of dollars worth of wines, down in the basement. Also, the service is more of an old-fashioned, white glove style. Great steaks, too.

1) Capital Grille (I prefer the one in FLL, not Miami)
2) Shula's in Miami Lakes
3) Christy's in Coral Gables
BTW: Did you get your Aero kit installed?

oh yeah, I forgot about Christy's. That's a great spot for Valentine's dinner!
Ruth's Chris has great steaks. The ambiance is not the best, compared to the other's on your list. One plus is that their steaks can be ordered "broiled in extra butter!!!" Something I don't like about Ruth's is that they make a big deal about their super hot broiling ovens, yet my side order of creamed spinach was served on a cold plate. Hot steak on a hot plate, and warm spinach on a cold plate. WTF!!!
