Thanks again, if all goes well, is anyone interested in Tein S-Tech (G35 version)? Although I think I'm the second or thrid ower, they are brand new-never installed. $100. Sorry, to hijack your thread _jb.

I'm not sure exactly what's different between the two units. They seem to have stopped selling the 2454 when they came out with the 5435. There is also a newer unit on the way with a 30gb hard drive.

The Eclipse AVN systems are a little smaller that a full DoubleDin opening. I thought it looked better with the unit positioned at the bottom of the opening. Personal choice, I guess.

That was an easy decision for me... my G does not have dual climate control.
Apparently Nissan Skylines do not have dual climate control. The Nissan air conditioning circuit board does have the circuitry for DCC, but the resister and button is not installed. There is a DIY to unsolder the buttons and stuff from the original G35 air conditioner circuit board and resolder them to the Nissan circuit board. Several people have done it successfully, but, as I said, I didn't need to.

This is exactly what I bought and what I paid for it. It took about two weeks for the parts to arrive. They were packed well and undamaged. I can not say the prices are still the same of course. Good luck on your conversion.

Joshi uses a Japanese form of PayPal. It's something I never heard of before, but I used it and everything turned out fine. It takes a few E-Mails back and forth, but you'll get it.

Thanks again for demoing yours in the Hooter's parking lot. That's the only time I ever saw one before I actually bought mine. We'll have to have another West Coast FGC meet after the All Florida meet. Dan - you listening?

The AVN5435 has different day and night settings determined by the vehicle lights. The night settings can be adjusted to several background colors in the settings. I use the default white for daytime and black (background) for night time.
