I have the worst luck ever.. pics inside

poor packaging + careless Fedex = 2 flawed brand new DPEs.

and to add to it, 1 of the wheels isn't supposed to be here until tuesday, explain that to me fedex?

I think this one is pretty obvious...

Terrible picture, but it was in the "heat of the moment" and the ding in the wheel lip is definitely visible in person.

I thought you'd never be able to out do finding the green rock in your blower. Man, what do you have planned for us next?

Sincerely,
The man with 2 flat tires in 8 days

Yeah, that's not bad luck. Think about how much worse you could be right now. You've got a boosted G. It's still in the garage right? Driveable? You suck!

I'm trying to get through my accident still. My car is being stretched as we speak.

Sorry to hear about your tires Todd.

well we could all compare stories (i could add in the 30k vandalism i dealt with last summer), but it still sucks. you pay a buttload of money for something, only to have it ruined by stupidity and carelessness.

nonetheless, sorry to hear about your misfortune todd and russ.. i know how you both feel.

Just curious, where did you order the wheels from that packaged them so poorly?

I don't think it's fed ex's fault. It's the shipper's fault for not packaging them properly.

that actually looks like a mark from when they put the tire on it, they have to put it on the machine backwards or it will mark it like that sometimes. i had rims that the guy did that to a long time ago.

What happened last summer?????? That's a lot of damage.

I wasn't trying to imply that your situation wasn't bad but the subject had me to believe someone hit you or something.

To get back on track, what are you able to do about the damage?

Don't get me wrong, this is minor, especially in comparison to some of the people dealing with hurricanes and real problems, but it still sucks..

Well the wheels are directly from DPE, but I used a shop named EF1 which is in the same complex that does a ton of DPE's installs, tire mounting and etc. I did this to AVOID a local shop making these mistakes but it seems I was very very wrong.. I should have just taken my chances locally and I wouldn't have to deal with all the headaches that I do now. I can't tell you how upset I was with how these wheels were packed.... completely careless.

Well... it is the shippers fault for packing them so poorly, but the damage was still done by FedEx at the end of the day.

This style of wheel can be reverse mounted so there is hardly a chance to ding up the front of the rim at all. The local shop in town mounted them last time and that was fine, but they throw wheel weights on the inside of the wheel and scratched the crap out of the inner wheel hoop. Moral of the story is I am damned if I do and damned if I don't on this one it seems.

My maxima was broken into while I was staying in Daytona Beach for Tuner Bash. Car was totalled and the most physical damage done was key marks.. that tells you how much damage was done inside.

I refused the shipment of 2 of the wheels and immediately called the company that mounted the tires and shipped them. I told him how insanely unhappy I was and that I expected these to get fixed as fast as humanly possible and overnighted back to me.. I will probably be without the wheels for another 2 weeks is my guess, it f*cking sucks.
