yea true i see what yer sayin, thats to bad they dont treat all their customers as good. I'd say service is the only hook up i have there, as far as like when i bought the car and discount on my price and stuff i didnt really get any huge discount or anything. Yea now that i think about it i have heard some **** from other people about their service department.

The main reason why I do not want to start any mods...with the problem I'm having with oil consumption, and the lame excuses they're always coming up with, it's just gonna give them another thing to point their finger on to.

Oh God...Daryl. He is such an A**! He told me it's normal to lose 1qt of oil every 1000 miles. I flat out told him I want to speak with someone who's competent. Rob Smullen came out and discussed the issue with me, I guess he's ok. I also had a chance to deal with Tom, another svc writer, who's really very helpful, but guess what... found out last weekend that he doesn't work there anymore. Hmmm...maybe he actually did his job, which is fulfill his customers' needs and that didn't go well with the service dept.

Tom was a great guy and as helpful as an ADVISOR could be, but he can't repair the car and he can't prevent coming in time and again over the same issues. Rob is the one who almost had me arrested when I said that all his techs must be m0r0ns since I have a reoccuring engine light that comes on the 3rd restart every time I left the dealership. It was a bad o2 sensor, and though they claimed to replace them all, they didn't and after 3 trips and multiple days without my car, it got repaired.

He tried to blame it on my mods and refused service, but I pointed out to him that I had records of all my mods and install dates, a papertrial via the forums over same as well, and that my car had been serviced there many times since the installs without any issues. He just tried to argue and argue and that's when I went over his head to the GM.

The bottom line is that their competence level over there is highly suspect--in my opinion of course...The law is on my side; customer service is on my side. It's just a true pain in the a$$ to have to deal with these guys constantly when an issue arises.

That all being said, consuming a quart of oil every 1,000 IS NOT NORMAL AT ALL. I'd ask for the regional service manager for Infiniti. I'd demand his information, and if they refuse, I'd send them and the GM of the dealership a certified letter addressing your concern and want to go further up the food-chain and give them 5 days to respond or you'll go totally corporate and leave them to the wolves. Infiniti does care about service in the long run, it's just you have to fight our local guys for it which is ridiculous.

Not to change the subject but I just got back from Infiniti of Tampa and checked out the G37. Well I guess I am still on topic since the thread was originally about the G37 and then went to bad service with IOT is kinda known for as well. Heres a pic of the one they had.

Damn.. is the service department at atlantic infiniti that bad? I've been told that alot of their sales people were *******s when they tried to purchase from there but damn. Makes me hesitant to take my car for service there. And I thought Lexus of Jax had the worst service department in Jax.

Just the opposite: I bought my car from the really short, older fat guy with white hair (he is still there) and I got the loaded G35c for $750 LESS THAN INVOICE (right around $35k). I was gonna buy the loaded IS350, but they wanted $1,000 over the freakin' MSRP at Lexus (over $45k)...

My friends who own Lexus' rave about the service department. Speaking of great service departments, the best in town--still (and has been) is Orange Park Acura (the one in Jacksonville on Blanding). They fall all over themselves for service and further, they even will install modifications and warranty the work. What's better than that???

When you guys go in for a basic service, like an oil change, do you usually go on the weekends or weekdays? Curious if there is better staff on certains days or something. I absolutely dread taking my car in for service. and I always have to do the walk around and pray nothing is curbed or scratched. I also put the "please do NOT wash car" sign in my guage cluster and on the dash. Like i said, I haven't had any issues as of recent. **fingers crossed** but it sucks that you have to worry about it so much. I wish we had a dealership like LOKEY. That's where I bought my car from.

when do you think the G37 will be available for test drives??
