That looks great, Andrew...

I'd paint the valve covers in that crinkle red paint like Adam did on 350z. That looked pretty cool... In truth, I don't think they show much, but red would be cool...

well......

I decided to paint my valve covers. I used a 2 stage high-temp paint with a red base coat and then a clear coat........Let's see how well it holds up.

let me tell you.......it was a bitch trying to install the valve covers with the engine in the car. trying to keep from messing up the valve covers was really hard, but I got it done. also, check out my newest custom addition. I ground off the plastic pcv crossover fitting that goes between the valve covers. then, I drilled and tapped the valve covers to accept these -6AN fittings. finally, I made a short length of -6AN line to go between the covers. Looks cool.

BTW,....sorry about the crappy camera phone pics...the phone made the valve covers look orange, but they really are red....I promiss!

my car is black......so adding more black to the engine won't help much.

When I build my motor, I'm gonna have a set of valve covers chromed (technically it is vacuum metalizing for plastic.)
