the thing with the n1 lip is it has an almost horizontal top curve to make it look more flush with the bumper. however, this keeps the vertical part of the lip from being completely flat against the tape/bumper. i think this is what keeps the top from being very secure. maybe shave down the very top?

the same with mine i got a gapp the size of a st pete hooker on the top of my lip where it connects to the top !! i got some bolts holding it down underneath the bumper and some srews on the side of the bumper but no tape !! maybee i will go get tsome 3m tape and see wut happens!

I have the ABS N1 Lip. My 3m tape is coming off somewhat. I have not had a chance to work on it on my own. I devoted a lot of time, energy and money to getting this lip on and I do not want to drive over it!!
I do see the sail of air that the gap could produce within the lip. Psycraft, how fast were you driving? Over 120 during any portion of the past month?
I do not want to put dtm support rods on the bumper, but I will if I have too. I also don’t think that added more brackets on the bottom will help much with the sail. The only non-rod thing I see is that making the original brackets stronger and taking the flexibility out of the lower part of the lip, would fix the problem. Maybe something like a steel ruler attached to stronger brackets.
*The lip looks sooo good from the side.

i hit speeds between 120-140 sometimes during road trips so i need to make sure this lip is secure. the lip seems pretty stiff already so i think ill just use the 3m tape and hope for the best. i got a roll for $5 and i think i will use 2 layers against each other to make sure it is touching the bumper. ill play around with it towards the end of this week and let you guys know what i end up doing.
