No idea if it hurts the paint, but my friend sprays Pam on his front bumper any time he is going for a road trip. He says they wipe right off then when he gets where ever he is going.

I drive from Ft. Pierce to Jupiter daily, so my car is constantly covered in love bugs... I just make my lot porter clean my car every day lol... poor guy... Gotta give him something to do though lol..

He uses an all purpose spray (slightly acidic) and a semi-rough sponge (he calls it his bug-sponge) to wipe them off. The sponge isnt rough enough to scratch the paint.

Ok after washing the car each morning this long weekend, enough is enough - I nearly cried on my way out to the Cape on Sunday, after Zanio on Saturday - I had a full bug beard on my sweet G...

I just went to Publix and picked up Pam for Grilling (the high temp formula) while I was spraying the bumper down another G35s owner came up and said he had heard about it, but was also warned it gets sticky and the bugs love it ... we will see I got to go out to the Cape again this afternoon ... I am hoping they will just slide right off ... AHHHHH

I used Pam a long time ago. It got sticky and gooey and dirt stuck to it. You're essentially spraying oil on the front of the car.

I used Pam too until she started bitching about having to clean my car twice a day... then I fired her... she was a lazy whiner.

I heard WD40 works well on long trip for your front bumper.....never tried it....

someone should test it out and let me know if it works without taking the paint off your bumper.
