So i told Dan that as soon as I got my authentic NISMO front bumper that i would post this story, It's kinda long sorry in advance.

So i decided that i want to get an authentic NISMO front bumper and i call up Dan and tell him, so he tells me to get the number for NISMO and see if he could get set up as a vendor where we could get it for a wicked deal. So I start looking for the number and its taking forever, just to give you an idea i can find the number to the CIA and the number to the oval office of the white house easier than i could find the number to NISMO.

So i IM Wes and he said to call consumer affairs for Nissan so i do that and they give me the number to NISMO. I call the number which by the way is in California and go through the longest phone tree imaginible. It finally states that NISMO moved to Tennessee, GREAT, I press 2 and zip im transfered to Tennessee and i go through another phone tree and finally get someone that i thought knew what they were talking about. This guy told me that yeah i can't become a vendor that i have to go through the dealership and they will sell it to me at wholesale cost.

I called Dan and let him know and he said great ill go through IOT and we can get it through them. Ok good everything is good..........BUT WAIT. IOT said yeah it should be around 750 dollars for the NISMO front bumper and Im thinking im going to get a sweet deal on the bumper. I ordered through Dan who in turns orders through IOT and they order through NISMO. Paul at NISMO said yeah it should be two weeks and you will have the bumper.

Two weeks later no bumper Dan or Mike from IOT calls up Paul from NISMO and says hey it's two weeks where is the bumper. Paul said oh i forgot to order the bumper. I get the news back that he forgot to order the bumper and I'm in disbelief. I decided to give it another shot thinking it was a fluke. I tell Dan, yeah i still want it and i just want to make sure i get it in time for paint for "THE RUN". Mike from IOT puts in another order for the bumper to Paul from NISMO and he says yeah is should be two weeks before you get the bumper.

One week later I call Dan and I tell him lets double check to see if everything is okay. Dan thought that was a good idea so he calls Mike and in turn he calls paul from NISMO. Apparently no one could get a hold of Paul and he was out of town or some BS like that, at least that what his secretary was saying.

Mike Finally got hold of Paul i believe a couple of days later and Paul said something to the effect of the bumper is on back order and i meant to call you about it but its going to be 4 weeks before we can get the bumper and buy the way its not 750 something dollars its 850. Which means that i would be paying 1k for a bumper or so roughly speaking. Dan called me back with the bad new and i flipped out and there is now way, NO F'EN WAY. After all the time I spent calling and checking on this guy, he is telling me by the way you have to pay almost 300 more. I was bouncing off the wall. Dan tells mike there is no way and to talk to Pauls boss bc he has been screwing everything up since day one. So Mike starts to bitch out pual and then wants to talk to pauls boss, Ron, apparently Ron is the head of NISMO for north america. So mike told Ron the story and he said that he will take care of everything for us and the bumper which i was supose to have 6 weeks ago in two weeks and that it would be for a certain price.

A week later, one week earlier when i was scheduled to get my bumper Dan calls me and says the bumper was delivered to IOT. I was in shock.

Today I met up with Dan at IOT to pick up the Nightmarish NISMO front bumper and Dan and i walk up to the counter and say hey where's the bumper and the guy there points to it and im like finally this ordeal is over. The guy starts typing in the computer and says that will be 857 and Dan is like ummmmm NO. Mike said he would give it to me at this price. It started all over again. So we finally got out of there at the price we wanted and lets just say I will never buy another NISMO product again unless i see it on the shelf.

forgot to add that when the bumper finally showed up it had a nice $1032 invoice on it to IOT. so who knows what my cost on that would have been.

Yeah i forgot to add in a lot of the calls that we had back and forth with Paul. It kinda looks like we only called him like three times but it was a lot more than that. I dont think i have ever talked to a guy that sounded so sure but was so wrong on everything he said. I still cant believe the **** that came out of thet guys mouth.

 

Thats gonna look sweet on your car, Dan. What's that behind the bumper? Tokico shocks/springs?

 

Yeah look at my other thread....i just got everything. Tokico D-spec, SPC front and rear with toe bolt, S-techs, Nismo front bumper, PIAA extreme white lights, KP window mod, Crank pulley, Defi gauges, megan gauges, A pillar, All just sittin in my office. ITS GETTING A LITTLE NUTS. I dont think I can hide my mods from katie anymore. LOL

 

Just looking at the quality, you can def. tell the difference between authentic and replica bumpers. IMHO
