Oh and another point.....from my understanding most of the car club owners have no problem with letting in the Gs into the car show. From what I have read and heard that it is only one club down south that has a problem with it.
I think it is crazy that we arent allowed to show because one club doesnt want it. I think it should be a majority not the minority that should make the decisions. But then again we live in florida and we allow this type of thing to happen all the time.
If no one had a problem with it then they would let us in. But i say again one club has a problem with it.
I dont know about you but is there something wrong here

yeah dont give them your money... and if you paid ask for it back. This is so stupid to me. 1 club has their panties in a bunch and they are ruining it for all the Gs. IMHO if I were the Pres. I would pick my ***** off the ground put them in my pocket and tell them listen a majority of the Z owners want them there if you dont like it sorry, start your own car show.

nevermind, dan said the thread is closed.
edit: he wanted me to show what i was going to post so heres my rambling...
a little history about me and my g35c. i bought it when i lived in st louis and found g35 clubs to be lacking. i met up with the gateway z club of st louis and was welcomed with open arms as the first g35. this is a club that has been operating for over 20 years and is 1 of the first recognized nationwide z clubs. so before you start on history lessons, im way ahead of you. now i understand that a 350z and g35 look different and are badged different but do you judge all books by their cover? are you also going to tell me that you dont allow datsun 1600s in your show because they are the REAL grandfathers of your car after all. what kind of car enthusiasm are you showing there? shermie made a very valid point about the lineage of our cars. the last time i checked, the g35 and 350z didnt accidentally end up being made of similar parts. they were designed together to target different audiences. now before you use that against me, a 300zx n/a and 300zx tt also target quite different audiences.
now i understand this is named a Z event, you dont have to repeat yourselves. does this mean if i drove a truck to a car show, they shouldnt let me enter? please dont embarass yourselves anymore by using technicalities as a defense. comparing a maxima to a 350z, g35 or g sedan is completely illogical. these 3 cars share the SAME base in case you forgot.
we've all put time and money into our cars and would like to show them to others. we also appreciate what other people have done and want to show that. no one is trying to take over this event or pad club stats, we just enjoy cars. your claim that any DIEHARD z enthusiast would never accept a g35 is a joke. i know tons of clubs all over the us that gladly accept either car.
in the end, id drive either car any day of the week.
