I saw your first post and the three steps/photos that one guy posted of the Cadillac hood. Yours looks just as good.

Is that the first time you ever used a rotary buffer? If so, that's quite an accomplishment.

Not really the first time with a rotary, im no expert (obviously) but i got a feel for it, i had a grey Diamante that i always used to detail, no problems, had a blue RX7 that i detailed with no problems, had a red Sentra 200sx again detailed with no problems, none of the cars paint were black though, i learned from watching/helping my uncle when i was back home in Puerto Rico, he has a bodyshop but he is waaayyyyy too old school, i tried talking to him but whatever he told me to try/use didnt work

anyways from what i have read the OB its very soft so i messed up with compounding then i tried so many things with no luck, the swirls were just there, if it wasnt for the detailing forum i would have spent more money and the car would have looked the same

i believe the pc is not really a rotary but an orbital. instead of spinning in circles, its more of an oval motion. this helps eliminate the burn/scuff marks that can happen from a high speed rotary. autopia.com is definitely the #1 site when it comes to cosmetic car care. i wish i had the time and effort to put into it because your car looks amazing! keep up the good work.

im buying a PC for the every other weekend wax bc too much rotary and i will strip the clear coat away ill just keep the rotary for when the paint needs a good cleaning/polishing, thanx for you opinion

Looks good, I've heard good things about the Menzerna products. Let us know long the wax (p21s) holds up.

i have been using s100 for a couple of months, i love it!! IMO best wax i have used so far, plus i really like the "wet" look it gives the paint, about longevity it doesnt really last that long. about menzerna, i have heard that its does wonders on black cars, thats why i bought it, i didnt really feel/see a need to wax after i was done with it, im not saying you shouldnt wax after polish but it really gave clarity/dept/reflection to the paint

Car looks good man (not that it didn't look good when I saw it in Orlando) great detail job. I might have to rent some of your detailing talents since I'm completely incompetent when it comes to working a PC or rotary.
