Full OBX Catback Exhaust Review
#18
Are you going to make a video of it? I was on the button to buy it but I fell off when I saw the Beluga racing exhaust. I ordered it this weekend and should have it by next week. If anything I'll cut out the resonator and replace it with a Vibrant Ultra Quiet but I think I'm safe seeing multiple vids and on the 370z boards someone dynoed with pretty nice results.

Funny I just saw this on ebay. There was a review that I just searched for and from what I gather is that it does sound best compared to something like OBX or one of the cheaper brands. At least to the persons review I read.
Quality seemed ok but it also has a rasp. I dont want the rasp so wont be getting this even though it is a cheaper alternative.

I suppose I will have to do a review after all. There's no rasp at all with the Beluga. I'm still running oem cats but I have FI Resonated HFC's sitting in a box. The sound is very mellow and I really can't wait to wake it up with the HFC's. Prior to the Y pipe if the stock sound was 4 out of 10 the Beluga was maybe a 5 out of 10. After the Y pipe it went up maybe one notch. I'm busy with getting ready for vacation and as soon as I get back I'm doing a 6mt pumpkin swap and Z1 plenum. When I'm done I'll do my build thread complete with videos and pics.

Sorry I'm procrastinating with good reason. My Beluga still sounds incredible but my FI RHFC's are still sitting in a box in one of my guest rooms. I had to put all that on the back burner because now I have another box sitting next to that one with a manual rear differential in it. Just waiting on a 6mt driveshaft and I'm having it all installed together. As it sits with just the Y-pipe and rear exhaust section of the Beluga my car has a very nice burble. And the sound when it rev matches is awesome now and I can't wait to hear it with the RHFC's. I am still planning to do a video after the install it'll just be a couple weeks. I did find the ProStreet N1 which is the same system as the Beluga on Youtube.

I cant see putting on a $1000 exhaust. Cant you find a decent sounding system for less? I dont see what being able to afford the cat has to do with finding a inexpensive exhaust. i was looking for something a little louder than stock with no rasp. Im not keeping the car after the lease but would like to enjoy something in the mean time.

Paired with hfcs?
The Delivery
So when the exhaust arrived it was in two large packages. The exhaust was relatively clean, and had little damage.

For such a cheap alternative, the exhaust isn't all that bad. I'd love to dyno the car to search for the actual power gains from it but who knows. Before this exhaust I had a Megan Axle Back Racing exhaust (for sale) with test pipes. This setup has a MUCH deeper tone, but from 3-4.5k RPM's it does sound kind of "ricey". But since I cruise a lot to save gas, I love it! It drones inside the cabin pretty loudly. But honestly that's what I wanted! I also have test pipes, which I'm sure, make this exhaust twice as loud if not more. I also took it out and really pushed it too. If you floor it with this exhaust it really does sound good. So I'll give this exhaust an overall rating...
Sound: 7/10
Quality:[/B ]9/10
Price: 10/10
And I'll leave you with some more pictures...
