P0720 code after transmission upgrades
So i just got my car put all back together today, long story short got a fast intentions flex plate, level 10 valve body and torque converter. Went to start it up and had issues with the starter not engaging properly with the flex plate, turned the motor a little from the crank pulley and that was fixed. Took it for a test drive and car won't shift past 3rd and no ds or autostick. Had a few codes and cleared everything and the p0720 is the only one that came back. If i start the car and put it in drive i can select ds but as soon as i start driving it changes to d and I'm back where i started. Any ideas? I installed everything myself, have done valve body upgrade/replacement before on my charger so not new to transmission work. Could too much fluid cause an issue? I had the whole transmission dropped and ran an external transmission cooler. I read that the whole capacity is 9.8 quarts. I put 10 in figuring the new cooler and lines would use the extra .2 quarts.

I'm seeing on here that that code could be a bad tcm or bad valve body. I'm going to contact level 10 and see what they say. Any suggestions from anyone here would be appreciated though.

I'd definitely call Level 10 and get their feedback as they have alot of expertise with modifications the RE7R01A.
For future reference, these guys have all of the RE7R01A TCM Diagnostic Trouble Codes listed here: https://streetsmarttransmission.com/...-valve-bodies/
Also, this thread provides good guidance on replacing the valve body: https://www.myg37.com/forums/engine-...4-for-7at.html
Was there a reason you replaced? Was it failing/throwing error codes? I know the Q guys proactively replace valve bodies, but I only see them replaced on the G side when the car has really high mileage or a member is pursuing a FI build.

I talked to them about 20 minutes ago. He said the smaller connector on the valve body is either not fully connected or the wires are pinched. I upgraded my transmission because after the z1 tune it felt laggy compared to the power i had gained and over the past month I've decided i want to go forced induction over the next few years.

So the connector was loose. But it doesn't lock together like it should. Male end has the clip type plug in and the female end on the tcm is just smooth which is why kt doesn't stay plugged in.

Had my buddy rig this galvanized wire to hold the connector in, refilled the fluid and tried it with no change. I emailed level 10 again and waiting for an answer. I feel like the tcm plug in is the wrong one, like i mentioned about the clip and there doesn't appear to be any electrical contact points. Not metal on metal, no prongs to plug in. If anyone knows if these connectors look broken or different or missing something let me know.
