Will someone measure the trans dipstick length plz?
Hi. I'm adding a trans dipstick to my 2012 g37S. I found a dipstick tube that will work, but I can't find a dipstick in the USA at a reasonable price. All I really need to know is the exact length so I can just buy a generic one or something. I had a Versa before, and you could just take the cap off and measure the fluid with the oil dipstick. Proper level sits right at the bend on the oil dipstick. Will someone with a 2008 G37 please measure the length of the dipstick? Please?

I went out and measured it before the furnace... err... the sun kicked into full blast (though with 80% relative humidity it doesn't matter). Anyway...
Overall stick length from bottom tip to bottom handle seat is 26¼". The measurements for the markings are:
I still say it would be easier to buy a new one, though.

Edited to add: Forgot to include that the VQ37VHR oil dipstick is 21⅜" from bottom tip to bottom handle seat. I did not take a picture of the markings.

That is a gigantic help. Thank you so much! I can just get a strip of steel that exact length and etch the marks on it. I'll find something to solder a top on it with a rubber gasket. First thing that comes to mind is a chrome tuner lug nut. I'll see if that will work when I get the tube. Thanks again!
With the help of ILM pic's and measurements you can now take a look at how the original dipstick looks like with these pics and make your own.
I'm going to repeat what he said and just wait. There is no possible way you'd build one in the time it would take to receive one.
I have a G35 tube on mine's and only a slight bending to attach to B1 vvel motor.
