Bank 2 VTC cam cover gasket
Hi All - first post here. I've gravitated here with my 2013 G37X, which has ~120k mi. Poor ole gal has developed an oil leak, which I BELIEVE is from the VTC cam cover gasket on bank 2 / drivers side.
I've watched several YT videos and looked a multiple threads on this forum as well as others (NICO club), which mostly are focused on replacing the exhaust magnetic retarder, not really specifically just the gasket.
Aside from removing the coolant reservoir, is there anything else that must be removed to get this cover off? And once I have it removed, is there anything in there that's going to come flying out at me?
I received the VTC cover gasket as well as the intake cam gear seal (3 of them) and I'm gonna try to tackle the job this weekend.
Anything I should know before tearing it apart?
Many thanks,
Travis

How did it go?
I am currently at 126k miles with a 2012 Infiniti g37 and my vtc covers are also leaking oil from there. I am going to be replacing the gaskets this weekend.
How did it go ? When you popped the covera off did anything come flying at you ? Did you use any type of lubricant sealant for the gaskets? Did you have any problems after?

from memory, there's nothing besides the 10mm bolts holding the cam cover to the front timing cover. after you disconnect the cam and vtc connectors you should be able to just pull the covers off
i did it with the whole front end off but id imagine it'd be way easier to remove the fan shroud to get to the lower bolts
