Oil leak near transmission mount

Just got under the car today to inspect a leaking flexi on the exhaust and noticed I lot of oil residue and I'm not sure where its coming from. I've smelt it and it doesn't really smell of tranny fluid but it's too far back to be engine oil. Is the transmission mount on the 7at oil filled?

probably the output shaft seal on the tail housing of the trans. does the driveline have excessive play? although rare the bushing inside the tail housing can go bad on rear wheel drive vehicles if driveline angle is incorrect.

Not that I'm aware of. Car drives fine with no vibrations or noises. Like you say though it has to be the output shaft seal.
