Car not revving past 3500 rpms

Please help !Car not revving past 3500 rpms
Hey I got the galley gasket job done as well as a new timing set and test pipes installed on my 09 g37. The car drives much better but when I hit 3500 rpms the car doesn’t want to pull past that. When the cars cold it’ll go past 3500 with no issues. It feels like there’s a rev limiter and the engine almost chokes when the car hits 3500 rpms. It starts bucking and surging forward violently. This isn’t limp mode though because I have no check engine lights or pending codes and have been driving the car for a while. And if it were limp mode which I’ve had before, the car wouldn’t let you go past 2k-2500 rpms. Have you guys ever come across this issue? Would really appreciate any help given. It definitely can’t be the galley gaskets because I just had them replaced and the oil pressure reading is fine and the timing of the car is on the right speck as well. Don’t think it’s a tranny issue either because as long as I keep the rpms below 3.5k, the car will shift through gears normally, and I could take the car past 100+mph if I need to.

I would start by doing a throttle relearn seeing as everything was taken apart, wouldn't hurt to clean the maf sensors as well.
Next check your 02 sensors are working properly and on thier tight. Check the gaskets around the test pipes for leaks. Or the pipes themselves for cracks.Make sure you have zero exhaust leaks.

I guess next check all your connections especially the cam sensor. Might need to pull apart and reconnect to make sure it has a good connection.
If you still dont have any luck you might have to open it back up and check your phasers sprockets as someone mentioned earlier. Best of luck
