Help with GAS TUNED 91 vs 94 CANADA

I got tuned by admin the other day. I ran petrol Canada 91 gas and we kept having issues with my motor knocking so he pulled 15 degrees of timing to solve it. After the tune I filled up shell 91 with 0 ethanol gas and the car started to knock again. I talked to him about doing a re-tune because my g37xs sedan is running 13.9 1/4 mile which is complete dog ****. He was telling me to not used the 94 oct because Canadian gas apparently is bad. But yet every single one of my friends are insisting that he is wrong because they're all tuned on 94. So to any of my Canadian tuned boys, Do yall run 94 or 91?

I'm glad you are being cautious with the knock. His dynos do show large gains, but that also means it is a more aggressive tune.
For stock G37, at WOT my car runs 20-27 degrees advance. The stock timing (from what I have read) is programmed NOT to knock. So, if he pulled 15°, what timing was he running?

I assume this e-tune was done by doing some runs on the street... What did you need to do?
I'm just trying to understand the e-tune process.

Also, 13.9 is not dog poop.
What mods do you have and what times were you expecting?

I was getting a lot of Knocking at 2000-2500 on light acceleration and that’s where he said he pulled 15 degrees from.I’ve talked to him and we’re gonna do another tune on 94 today. And I was expecting more because my friends 2008 G35S sedan got a 0-60 of 4.9 seconds and a 1/4 of 12.7. My 0-60 was 6.05 😂.

^^^ Your buddies G35 is also about 300 lbs lighter (3500 vs 3800) which helps a lot!
That 12.7 1/4 mile time must be from an app and not the track.
The Mustang GT has a quarter mile time of 12.6 @ 116 and a 0-60 of 4.3 seconds.

What do you need to provide for another tune?
I assume some kind of acceleration run? If so what do you need to do?

I can't say anything about the VQ specifically, but everything out here is tuned for 91, pretty rare to see anything tuned for 94. I'm also a higher altitude than you, though.

it was with a draggy, and the first time around it was a 3 gear 2k to red line and 4th gear 3k-5k 50% throttle and then the final one was 60km to 200km wot pull

idk I ran basically the best 91 in Canada and he was saying my gas is ****. So I don’t really know what’s different between our gases

May I asked what mods you got. And if you’re awd, rwd. Manual or auto?
I got stillen intakes, isr resonated test pipes 2.5 inch y pipe, and top speed y back. Fastest 0-100 confirmed on draggy after the 94 tune was 5.39. 1/4 of 13.29. I’m awd 7at sedan

Oh yea that’ll definitely do it, especially bc ur rwd, I got almost 300 pounds on you not including the racing seats no spare and lighter wheels. The header and ported plenum help a lot aswell. Thank you. I was full weight. Everyone’s telling me to drop pounds with lighter wheels and carbon. But personally don’t think it’s worth it, I’m planing on getting a q50 silver sport in a couple years
