Dyno price?

I'm having some trouble finding a place with a Dyno out here. I've called probably 50+ places now and have barely found anything. There's a place that is a 44 mile away drive and they have it and charge $125 for 1 hour of Dyno. They don't offer any smaller rate for a single dyno. Is this expected? It seems ridiculous to charge $125 for a single dyno. I understand the cost of those things and have no problems with people profiting. but not having a price for a single run seems weird.

Here's why:

Let's say they did 12 dynos in 1 hour for $125. That's $10.41 per dyno. They could easily charge $25-50 for a single dyno run and I'd be out of their business a lot quicker, while making more per dyno. That's two benefits.. they spend less time with my car in their spot and make more money. Instead, they discourage me from even going by charging $125 for 1 dyno. Why not offer a more appealing price and make a larger profit, while consuming their garage space for less time?

Are they gouging because of lack of supply in the area?

Or is this not normal?

They've very highly rated and a handful of places I've spoken to have recommended them.

Nobody today is going to provide you with a service for less than $100. Of the 1 hour of time that you rent, 20-25mins of that is setting and pulling the vehicle off of the dyno. Not to mention the equipment is not cheap and running a business has a ton of other overhead.

Sometimes you got to pay to play.

Don't have a problem paying, just don't want to pay outrageous prices if there's no reason to.
