If the dealer is saying to use it just read the back and make sure it is compatible with the Nissan fluid.

This is what I used in my car but I did a full flush and drain and the car has been running smooth no issues, and if you read the back it also is compatible for the Nissan ATF fluid. But many will say to just use the Nissan ATF fluid.

That bottle of Idemitsu is Type J so you are good to go.

My bad..... Matic J is what was called for in the transfer case, not the AT. Matic S is what you want, or a Matic S compatible.

thanks, I wasn’t sure and thought it was a different type but couldn’t find any information on it.

Considering you're probably only going to change the ATF once or twice during the ownership period, why not spring for genuine Nissan Matic-S?

I work at a ford dealer and asked for them to order me fluid and this is what was suggested on our side for some reason and they oredered it before I saw it, I got a pretty good price on it like $4 a quart at cost but I would have preferred the Nissan one but if this works then I’ll go with it and see how it is
