Greetings fellow G owners! I’ve been experiencing a weird issue with my 2010 g37 coupe. Its an automatic and has 104k miles now and one day I started the car and it just completely shut off. I put my foot on the brake and it just starts for like a second or tries to start and then shuts off again. I put my key into the manual key slot that is located on the left side and the car starts and sounds like its about to die again but manages to keep itself alive. After having thats startup I dont have any problems for a while but this same issue comes back. I have also noticed that my car has always started and sounds kind of funny. It turns on and starts to get quiet quick then gets loud again. I do have a exhaust setup so it helps me with hearing the noises my car is making. Please help!!

When was the last time the throttle bodies were cleaned/ have they ever been cleaned?

DIY Throttle Body Cleaning

The only time my car ever demonstrated this start/stop behavior was when the throttle bodies needed cleaning. After that it starts up fine every time.

I bought the car at 92k miles. Never cleaned the throttle bodies. Will do that and get back to you!
