Automatic Transmission
Hello, I'm relatively new in the car world and recently bought myself a 2013 infiniti g37 from my uncle. I never how big the modding community had with this car hence, I wanted to learn as much as I can with this car. Just a few questions, what are some basic mods relatively exhaust systems that are perfect for a g37 adding sound but not to loud. Are demon eyes a must? Lastly when ever I drive sport mode I shift the stick up/down and it brings up M1 - M7 I know it pertains to a 7 speed automatic, but I dont know when to use the correct number when driving. Thank you.

We have several threads devoted to exhausts with sound clips and all. Do some exploring, lots of neat info on here. I personally run a very simple Ypipe back TopSpeed exhaust and find it perfect. Just a bit louder and deeper than stock, nothing too crazy. Lots of options out there however.
The sport mode is simple. Throw it into sport and it's still in sport auto that will shift for you. Shift the gears manually up or down and it will switch to manual mode. You can also do a manual shift while in non sport mode which will downshift for a boost of power and then go back to automatic.
Untuned, we start making peak power above 5-6k rpm. The car will rev-match for you and won't let you shift too low. It won't shift up for you, but it will downshift if the rpm gets too low to keep the transmission safe. I find 3.5k rpm to be a good spot to downshift if you need more power on demand. Driving casually it's also a good spot to upshift as well. You'll get a hang of it soon enough.
