One thing I want to add is that when you park your car, make sure you engage your parking brake (foot brake) - This takes the load off your transmission
Follow this practice for any car you drive - No matter if you are parking on incline surface or flat (push the parking brake once you are parked) -- This will help you in a long run

For transmission flush - Honestly you can do it yourself - If I were you, I'd go buy 12 quarts of transmission fluid from Nissan and $10 fluid pump from Auto Zone or Oreilly and just drain and refill (Repeat 3x) till your fluid is coming out clean. Also make sure your'e parked on a flat surface. give it a shot and make sure when you're pumping, go slow and easy Don't do it fast and you will be good.

Key is to make sure you loosen your fill plug before loosen your drain plug to make sure they can both come out without a problem or else you will be stranded with no oil in your car.

Good luck

This is not the procedure for the transmission service...It's a closed system.

I've scheduled an apointment to just have it drained and filled as they said they won't flush it. I'm going to try to see if they will plug it in while I'm there and see if there is any kind of updates but i am highly doubting they will.
I would love to do it myself, but i just recently moved to a new state by myself and I live in an apartment with no access to a garage/tools/jack etc.

There's a DIY to add the dipstick from the 5-speed that will certainly make doing the drain/fill easier.

Had to Google this to verify. Can't believe I've not seen this until now. Thank you for sharing.

***If there is any site that actually sells all of the equipment anymore. I was denied by Infinitipartsdeals.com 1 month after I ordered the whole setup

Update:

Took the car to my local nissan dealer this weekend. Asked them to see if any updates or TSBs apply to my model and to change the fluid. They said there were no available TSBs for my vehicle and they also claimed to have called over to infiniti a few hours away who also said the same. Not really sure i believe it but unfortunately that's what i was offered.

They did a simple drain and refill so only about 4-5 qts were removed and replaced with new fluid as expected. With that done, I will say the car feels a little better. 1-2 and 2-3 are still the worst gears out of them all unfortunately as they are the ones that bother me the most. The Flares seemed to have been calmed in 3-4 and 4-5 though still there, just not as bad. And the top 2 gears i hardly feel anymore. Overall it seems to be about in line with the fluid that was replaced, about 40% better than before.

I am glad to see some results but it's still not where i hoped it would be. That said, maybe in a few months ill drain and refill again and hope each time it gets better but it is certainly not cost effective. Hopefully in the next year ill be in a better situation and have a place to attempt the DIYs myself.

Thanks for all your responses

If it isn't rude to ask, how much did they charge?

$149.99+tax. Certainly overpriced for 5 qts of fluid, but was my only option at the moment.

Im a Technician at a Independent shop(we work on Everything)..anyways..We have a machine we flush through the dipstick..works really nice..Ive used it on my G35.

Just saying if you do that DIY by adding the dipstick..its a viable alternative to power flushing.

Our Shops are in the St Louis area.

Update:
Its been about a week now since the 1x drain and refill. What I thought might happen has happened. The small improvement I gained from the 1x didnt last but a few fays until it started to feel the same as it did before. Guess ill just have to wait it out until I can do a full 3x drain and refill myself because I cant find anyone who will flush it for me. Hopefully a full replacement of the fluid will work and last a while.

If anyone finds this and can only get a dealer to 1x refill it, save your money. Wait until you have the means to get a full 3x or flush.

Or just wait longer to find a manual like I should have done instead of getting stuck with this dumb 7at. 😖
