Is a tune required after installing a catback exhaust?
Hey Fam,

Im no mechanic and not too familiar with some technicalities of doing modifications to cars so I have a question. I just ordered a motordyne shockwave full catback exhaust and im curious if a tune is "recommended" or "required" once the exhaust is installed.

Im hoping that it wont be necessary as i would love to avoid paying another $700 or so on a tune.

Nope. Tune for just catback is not required.

Only look to tune the car after all your bolt-ons are in place; if you want to maximize the bolt-ons. Tuning after each or after an exhaust would be a waste.

Wait until you've installed additional performance mods before pulling trigger on tune. I did my exhaust, headers and intake before deciding to tune. Otherwise you're spending unnecessary $$
