Spark plug question
#16
I have never heard of NGK plugs giving anybody on any platform any trouble unless the bought the wrong heat range plug or did not gap them correctly. I have a set of NGKs i am actually getting ready to put in lol.

Which is surprising since NGKs have a pretty good reputation. For whatever reason, Denso plugs are the only ones that play nice with our car.
OP, I had a similar inquiry when I changed mine out. I've ran NGKs in my past three cars and never had an issue. After some reading on here, a lot of owners would throw codes, misfires and a laundry list of other issues.
I installed the Denso plugs 20k+ miles ago and have not had a single issue. Unless you're running a boosted application and require colder plugs, the OEM plugs are the way to go.

I always check the gaps - even for pre-gapped plugs. The Denso plugs were all at OEM spec so I installed and have not had an issue. No clue why the NGKs cause heartaches; even when gapped properly.
