Was the FCM on the new fan assembly a different brand then the one that blew?

I’m having the same issue, and I’m trying to figure out if maybe it’s a defective FCM / brand difference before I buy the fan assembly.

Yes it was a different brand, it came with the fan assembly.

I doubt your fcm is bad, the fans wearing out are probably blowing the fcm. That's what happened to mine.

BEFORE throwing money and parts at a unknown problem, run the IPDM/er self-test (see here). In one swoop this will test the IPDM, blower relay, fan control module, and fan motors.

Thanks I replaced the fan assembly yesterday
and all is working good now. I was on my second FCM
The IPDM test was done and fans would work as they were supposed to but, when I would turn ac on, the fans would intermittently turn on and off.
When the IPDM test is done, fans only come on for a couple seconds and not long enough to for them to stay on as they should I suppose. Thanks every one for the help.
