08 G37S slow shifting, 5AT all gears
Like the title says. It seems to be lazy going into and out of all gears, so I replaced the fluid and added some Lubegard, and I thought it had made a difference at first but it's still slow. Makes me think it's a pressure problem since it doesn't seem to be any specific gears.
I had the Trans pan off and there wasn't anything shocking in there. The oil that came out was pretty dark for sure. Never had any other problems with the trans, and I don't really have the tools to do a proper pressure test myself. It seems to have the issue whether in D or DS modes. There are no check engine lights or anything. I have a code reader but just a basic one.
I'm mostly curious if anyone else has had a similar issue or might know what's going on? I was really hoping it was just a fluid problem but it seems to be more than that.

Seems like many other members of this board have used compatible fluids without problem..... Also where I live the super special magic Matic S fluid is $60/quart, which is completely ridiculous imo. Ebay has it but I'll have to wait a while. Another shop said that it might just be something innocuous like dirty MAF's, which I'll check tonight.
I'll do the MAF's later and if that doesn't work then might change the fluid again. I'll update this thread when I know more. Thanks for the input folks.

Cleaned the CAI's, filters, MAF's, and throttle bodies, then reset the ECU. Feels a bit snappier but I'm still feeling the slow shifting too, especially 1-2. Guess I'll be scouring for some Matic S.

Yes, like others mentioned (since two of my three cars use Matic S) you can tell the car doesn't like it. Do at least two drain-refills to get most of the fluid out. Depending on the car's history the issue may or not be caused by non-OEM fluid alone.
