Help with flex disk driveshaft coupler guibo

Help with flex disk driveshaft coupler guibo

My G37 coupe 08 5AT have a vibration

and i found that flex disk, driveshaft coupler or guibo has totaly cracked.



no is my, but is very similar poor condition.


and in the FSM pag 15 http://www.nicoclub.com/manuals/G37/Coupe/2008/DLN.pdf say that, never remove " Never damage propeller
shaft rubber coupling " this part not have replacement


not is solution viable buy another driveshaft only for a damage flex disk.


not is good idea buy another driveshaft in ebay. because only g 08 5at have a flex disk. are 10 year of hard drive.


I pulled the driveshaft and measure are:

sleeve hole: 12mm

diameter from center hole 115mm


trickness of flex disk are: 30mm

my idea is buy from another brand and put on my G

the most similar is

GAD-134 Mercedes 110mm 6 12mm 35mm

GAC02-004 Chevrolet 110mm 6 12mm 38mm Camaro V8 2010-2013


any idea please.

Many others are in the same boat. I have similar measurements and was looking at this eBay product made by Dorman. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dorman-D...4AAOSw95FZawFS.

I may pull the trigger and test fit. Thank you for the time taking to make this drawing. May need to STICKY this info some day.

thanks for your replay..

this a real image. i use a 2 digital caliper for all measure....

with second caliper digital i get the follow measure..


diamenter for all sleeve 22.45mm

length for all sleeve 35.89mm ... with out 2mm that enter in female 33.23mm


sleeve to sleeve diameter. center point 114.85mm or 113. 76

sleeve to sleeve intermal lenght 102.63

in your replay mercedes not fit... other idea.

I do not believe the rubber will stretch 1 mm, let alone 5 mm. Keep looking.

Starting researching more, using different search words...Wheel spacer came up for Dodge Viper. 6x114.3 30mm, Flat.

yeah the dimension are very very same. but and ruber for vibration?

only is put 6 bushing

In the BMW forum say thats a new guibo come factory retracted with metal band. for reinstall used guibo is necesary compress tool..

I would consider a metal replacement if that is what it takes to get your car back on the road. I have replaced the differential bushings and transmission mount with urethane parts as well as installed the Z1 rear subframe bushing stiffeners yet find the NVH change to be quite small. I suspect replacing the guibo with metal won't affect NVH much, either.

whats you try to say? that i don't get nvh if i replace solid guibo aluminum? with out bushing?

i found for lexus. this



but what's will happen? with the stress in the joint in the driveshaft...

aluminum is softer than steel. if anything the stress from the drive line will wear away the all aluminum coupler disc. the rubber style flex discs take the place of u-joints on a driveshaft. i would not suggest using a solid piece like the one you have in the pic. i would just try and find a flex disc with the specs closet the original one that came off the car.
