The software in G37 is already biased towards RWD and only shifts to AWD when the system detects slippage. Taking out the opportunity for the system to properly function is a lunkhead move...

I believe that awd models have an open diff in the rear (unless you have a 2014-15 sport model) so wouldn't it just be a one wheel tire fire? You could also toss out any insurance coverage should you have an accident if you discombobulate the safety system.

Plus, I need tangible proof to show the wife why I need new rubber because the 2* garbage that came on the car needs to go.
Edit: Just going to add, I agree with what everyone else is saying though. It's RWD bias so I don't get why you'd pull the fuse. If anything, it's nice to have that piece of mind when carrying on while driving backroads. The Switch in the DIY is the best of both world's if you really want to go that route.

Mechanically, I would think that the centre diff would just be disengaged and things like the front axles would just wear at the same rate as on a normal AWD...
If I remember correctly, the only difference is really during speeds under 20mph (30mph in snow mode) (i.e burnout/launch speeds) when the AWD is normally engaged automatically, after that its not usually engaged anyways unless theres a loss of traction.
I Think the R35 GTR has had an AWD off switch in it for a few years now (after its first refresh in 2011ish) it was branded as "eco mode" I think...

Are you talking about "save" mode? That starts you out in second gear and tries to shift less in snow. I have never seen an AWD off or Eco mode in a GT-R. I would be shocked if Nissan would allow you to turn off AWD with all of that power. They do not even want you to turn off VDC.
I'm going off memory here, but I want to say its from a Top Gear episode where James May is driving it and going over the features in the refresh...maybe from back in 2011/2012..the only thing is I don't remember anything about the 6mph limitation in the review I remember (or perhaps am misremembering)

This is Nissan's video on save mode (about 1:15). It changes the transmission shift points for snowy roads, not RWD. As fun as it would be, I could never see the engineering dept. get away with switching the car to RWD in the snow. Can you imagine the lawsuits? It would be even worse than all the people who cried wolf about someone else breaking a GT-R transmission by abusing launch mode back in 2009.
