I would say replace them pulleys around 80k as a safety measure. Especially if you start hearing whiny noise from that area.

What if bolt came off and couldn’t find it. Bought the pulley but it didn’t come with the bold, I went back and they said they didn’t sell them. Where can I get one ?

Nissan or Infiniti dealer should have them. Or just check the FSM, go to advance auto and find the same type of bolt.

If you bought the idler pulley new from Nissan/ Infiniti, a new bolt should have been included.

Best advice would be to remove the bolt from the other idler pulley and take it to a auto parts store and see if they can match it up exactly.

Coming home tonight I heard a loud squeak, lost power steering and battery light went on. The Brake warning light also came on (anybody know why?). Luckily I wasn't that far away from home. Drove the car back home without power steering. This is the first time I've ever driven a car without power steering, so it was quiet an experience.

Pop the hood after I got home, notice the belt is quite lose. The belt itself didn't look damaged. Shine a flashlight down and there is it, the idler pulley resting peacefully on undercarriage cover.

FYI it's the #7 pulley in the diagram below:
Dude! Same thing happened to me. Thanks goodness I was close to home when it happened. Heard loud grinding noise when I accelerate and then the steering wheel got stiff, also saw the battery light start to flash. Couldn’t figure out visually what the problem was because belt was fine, no power steering fluid leaks, car was fine when I put it in gear, and it idled with no issue. Decided to check the next morning because I just spent 2.5 hours commuting home from the city. Started the car the next morning and saw the belt had slipped off and the pulley was found on the undercarriage cover too. Same #7. Thought it was the power steering pump at first. Got quotes for $190-300 for the idler pulley. I have 217k miles on my G37S.
