Service Engine Light CODE PO300 PO301
guys my service engine came on randomly upon start up after leaving it parked overnight there was a quick fast stutter/shake that lasted maybe 5-7 seconds then the car felt normal right away. They pulled the code for me @ auto zone and said it was the Mass Air Flow Sensor. This morning i gassed up and right after i started my car the light went away. Could of it just been a false alarm ? was it my gas cap? gas cap was replaced fairly recent. If it is was the gas cap why did they pull code PO300 and PO301?. Should I replace the sensor ? any advised would be highly appreciated.

The P0300 and P0301 are random misfire and cylinder 1 misfire codes, respectively. A MAF code would be P0101-P0106, and the gas cap would set an EVAP code in the range of P0440-P0456. The computer logs, stores, and deletes data based on ignition cycles and readiness tests. If there was an intermittent issue and it was one that cleared in say 2 ignition cycles, then cycling the key twice would reset the readiness indicator. If it was a self readiness test, then the computer would monitor data through a predetermined number of on/off cycles of the monitoring system.
What were the driving conditions prior to parking it and the weather conditions while it was parked? Do you have any mods done to it? How many miles are on it and when was your last maintenance service done?
