Issue with car starting.

Hello everyone,

I saw a similar thread below and I thought I would try to get some advice on a similar issue I am having.

My 09 g37 coupe will cold start fine but if I have been driving for (20-30) minutes and turn it off and go inside somewhere briefly my car will barely start. Will start and idle at 1k for about 1 second and stall immediately. I have cleaned the throttle bodies and installed a new MAF sensor. Car has been brought to dealer 3 times to have idle and everything reset and nothing...

Car has CAI, M370 as well as other mods but nothing else that would cause this issue.

Infiniti said that they could not find anything wrong and blame my intake but this has been happening since purchase.

Any help would be great!

http://www.infinitig37.com/TSB/1ST34.pdf. Don't know if that's your problem or not but what I did when what's described in the tsb happened to me in my '08 and I was out of warranty was just switch to a bigger battery. 24F. Drops right in. Never again had a problem with it not starting. These are the best according to Consumer reports.

But this has been happening since I purchased the car not the intake. Also, the battery seems to be fine never had a weak start or trouble starting. It starts right up and them kinda sputters and stalls.

Once you modify the vehicle no dealer is going to spend valuable tech time looking for weird problems.

So why wasn't the problem resolved by returning to the dealer that you purchased the vehicle from?

Test the battery and the alternator.

Have you ever measured the alternator output voltage?

I have not tried the alternator output. I paid the dealer $250 to diagnose the problem and they said it was my idle which had now been reset 4 times with no resolution to the problem. The dealer told me basically to F off after purchase.
