Subframe and clearances would be the least of your worries. This isn't 1968, your not just popping an engine out of a Q50 and dropping it into a G37 and driving away. The Q50 is an entirely new vehicle and im sure the wiring harness and ECU are totally different. Also form what i see online its less power then the 3.7 in the S now. Im not sure why you would ever want to do this?

I mean if money is no object then have at it, but you could probably spend less and completely restore the body and rebuild the engine of your current G37 while adding a supercharger for much more power than a Q50.

wiring is a given..
and the q50s is at 400hp with 350 torque.. how is that less

the thought here is that im in my current g for the long haul.. and if there is a need to replace the current motor from failture or age or whatever..

I brought up this subject a little while back, would be a cool swap for sure, but I would try to swap the regular s model motor with the 300hp. those optical sensors for the turbos I could see being a problem in the future with tuning. the base motor seems less complicated base to start with. if I got a q50, it would be the silver s model.
