Grounding kit...yes or no?
#16
Years ago I installed a well-made kit for the specific reason of tightening up the 'lag' on the auto shifting. Dreadful.
Followed instructions well, and test rode: No difference.
I even took a video at the time with it on, and then took 3 mins to go under the hood and remove the cable's battery and chassis ground to disable it. Back and forth twice on/off, recording the shifts to show and discuss with the builder....
No difference. For me. I SO much wanted it to work.
YMMV. I dunno. Others claim otherwise.

^^^ I'm sure it does due to the high amperage requirements of the amp.
By the way, did you know when you have high power aftermarket amps, the ECU changes the injector pulse width to account for the fluctuating voltage?

I used this DIY then adding an additional Y ground to the throttle bodies and for $40 I am happy but like most said, dont set your expectations high and don't spend much money on it. Any more than $60 is a waste in my opinion.
I have clearer and louder treble and faster shifts. The most noticeable time is close to redline you don't have to shift multiple seconds before hand to make sure you dont hit redline and have the fuel cut off.

I saw a improvement in audio quality! For me it was worth it. I just bought the stillen gk for a great deal otherwise would of made my own. I also have no idea if it helped with shifts, I don't have a before and after video. Definetly didn't get worse (thank god) lol already slow enough.
Also can't do the reprogram because I don't want to loose my tune
