Limp Mode

Hey guys,
Something super weird has been wrong with my car for a while now, and I've just been putting it off on fixing it. So a while back i was testing out different steering wheels, and after a month of using aftermarket ones I decided the stock one was the best option. So, I reattached the steering wheel and all the inner components back to normal. However, like some G owners experience, when the vehicle gets over about 2.5k it shudders to a stop. I know that some guys have fixed this with changing to different oil, some had VVEL problems that caused this. The weird part is that when i turn the steering wheel one full turn to the right, the VDC and SLIP (G37x) lights come on, and the car drives perfectly fine, in what I'm assuming is limp mode. Anyone have any ideas whats going on?

Two thoughts:
(1) Is the check engine light on? / If so, what is the code?
(2) Sounds like a short/open in some of the wiring when you turn the wheel. Double check all connections and look for any signs of a pinched or scraped wire.

Did you just put up with the airbag light on while trying the other steering wheels?

No check engine light at all, but the airbag light is still blinking just like with the aftermarket wheels
