Help Tranny upgrades

Tranny upgrades
Hey y'all,
I test drove an awesome looking black 2012 IPL 6MT coupe that I thought I was going to buy the moment I got in and 1st started it up with a smile. However, the car had serious problems with the clutch/transmission. It was hard to get into a couple gears (2nd & 3rd), it would grind going into reverse, and the clutch pedal wasn't consistent in pressure. (42K miles)
Thanks to this site and members I know that RJM Performance makes a great aftermarket clutch pedal assembly, and ZSpeed Performance has a upgraded CSC assembly, though I don't know about it's performance.
Q. Is there a performance specialist who makes a upgraded CMC?
Q. How does the Zspeed CSC perform vs. OEM, and why doesn't the Zspeed clutch slave cylinder work with Spec Clutches?
Thanks for any help.

I don't understand why you'd think the pedal assembly had anything to do with the balky clutch?
Is the hydraulic system full? Leaking? I don't have a manual, so I don't know if there is access plate that allows one to check the cylinder in place. Old-school cylinders had an adjustment nut that changed the effective length of the plunger to help accommodate clutch wear. Can anyone answer for the 6MT?

I checked all the fluids. From what I've read upgrading or getting a new OEM CMC, CSC, and installing a pedal assembly is a very good start for a old tranny with a grabby clutch and other common tranny failures. Then you never have to worry about it again.

Still, I don't understand the pedal business. I've owned several manual-tranny cars over the decades and pedals were never an issue. Well, except the time I adjusted my brake pedal too low (made heel-toe easier) and contraction from cooling at night would allow the brake light to activate and run down my battery. The only reason I saw people changing pedals was for looks, not performance.
If you're doing it for looks, more power to ya, but I highly doubt it'll help with fixing the clutch.

Sounds like you need to look at another G.
If you're getting grinding into gears, either you don't know what you're doing or the synchros are bad. Having had to replace my tranny due to bad synchros, I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt . This may be a car that the previous person beat on and then gave back.
To answer your questions:
1. I haven't heard of anyone making an aftermarket CMC. The primary culprit in our cars is the CSC. The throw-out bearing sleeve is made of plastic and due to heat is bound to fail at some point.
2. Z-Speed's CSC makes theirs with metal and thus far I haven't read of anyone in the G or Z community complaining about it. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Don't know about the issue with SPEC clutches and the ZSpeed CSC. Give them a call and ask, they're usually pretty helpful
For your curiosity about the RJM Performance aftermarket clutch pedal:

Lastly, I know it's a pain...but typically your answers are somewhere in these forums archived. Spend some time searching through them.
Good luck!

Thanks for your help. I'll consider this post closed.
I thought it may be the syncros in the worst case. If the car had a warranty I'd probably buy it, since syncros seem to go bad often in 6MT's that get newer revision syncros put in that are supposed to be much better. Oh well.
I'm used to brass syncros & carbon lined brass. The OEM G37 syncros look like steel...I don't know, I can't find their construction materials or any performance upgraded syncros like other cars can get.
Back to G37S hunting...
