Valve gasket cover leak

Valve gasket cover leak
I have 2008 g37s with 87,000 miles and was wondering if anyone else has experianced a valve gasket cover leak for this year and model? Bought it to Nissan for an oil change and they say I have one but the car runs fine no lights or oil on the ground. They are trying to charge a ridiculous amount as well. Any suggestions?

My 09 was leaking into the rear driver side spark plug hole when I changed plugs at 105k. No leaks outside of the plug hole. I haven't yet changed it and no exterior leaks.

valve cover leaks do occur, sometimes they leak externally and sometimes they leak internally into the spark plug tubes. just pull the valve covers off yourself and replace the rubber gasket they are pretty easy to do.

For what it's worth I have a 2012 and just experienced the same thing, went in for oil change and they told me I have both gaskets leaking. Fortunately I'm under powertrain/CPO, but this would've ran me $2k at the dealer total for both gaskets.

I just hit 60k miles a month ago on my '11 G. Had a baby leak on my valve cover gasket. I wouldn't do it at the dealership since they'll charge you an arm and a leg. I got replacement valve cover gaskets and spark tube seals for about 60 dollars with shipping from Z1. Might as well change spark tube seals since they'll be accessible when you change your valve cover gaskets

Right after my oil change I noticed some sludge on the right side. I think it is just from them spilling oil. I hope so, I smelled it a bit today when I drove to lunch. I smelled it a lot right after they did the oil change. The spot isn't easy to get to, without removing things. I hope I am right that it is just from spilled fluids. My car does have a few miles on it. 162k

Yup, I just replaced my valve covers 2 months ago on my 2008 G37S coupe. I was told at the time that the spark plug tube gaskets were not replaceable so I had a shop replace both since the labor wasnt anymore expensive to change both. My leak was on the #6 plug which is the driver side closest to the firewall. Seems to be a common problem.
