Why doesnt my g37 bounce off redline like the 350z
so i see a lot of sports cars bounce off the redline, like if they forget to shift, it just bounces off the redline, i see a lot of drivers do this when they are drifting.
So i was curious what my 2012 g37 sedan journey would do when i put it in manual, then let it hit redline, and what happened was i just got a big decrease in power, it didnt bounce off the redline. Why is this?
im guessing its some safety feature, but why doesnt the 350z do this? dont they got the same engine?

well i dont want my engine to blow lol, i just want it to bounce off redline instead of decreasing power significantly.
PngSanity what kind of g37 do you have? and whats uprev?
BTW: its not the real manual g37, its the automatic version that i can switch to manual

UpRev is one of 2 tuning platforms that you should consider only.
actually, just consider Ecutek.

I'm no pro in this field, but if you just have minor upgrades or in this case just want rpms to bounce off redline then your cheaper and most readily available tune would be with uprev. As far as I can tell most tuners don't mess with ecutek? ( at least none around me)
BE CAREFUL there is a disease going around on this forum called "mod addiction". And let me tell you, withdrawals SUCK!

That's why call Seb@ Specialty Z and get a Etune or remote dyno tune like I did!

^^^+1 from what I've seen/heard...I've had some contact with him, and his responses are timely.
Also, Rob (RobTuned in atl) I think would be a good one as well

Both are flash tuned. And depends on what you want. With just license and flash, $350 average-ish. With tuning suite kit, add another $350 on top at a minimum.
