Just did Fast Intentions HFC Install, Have "Service Engine Soon" Keep popping up

Hi Guys,

Before you flame me for not searching, i spent quite some time finding out what I did wrong on the install.

I'm aware my o2 sensors are probably shot, as i took my 22m wrench and hit it with a hammer to dislodge the o2 sensors (before I read i can't do that).

Just wanted to see what the codes i'm getting relate to

P0152: O2 Sensor Circuit High Volts (Bank 2 Sensor). I'm getting 2 of these, 1 and 2 (guessing for both sensors.

Any suggestions or advice? I used the gas pedal thing to reset the codes yesterday, that didn't work after i restarted my car 15 miles later, and i left my negative wire off for 5 hours afterwards, drove to work and the check engine light came on after i restarted it to go home.

If I need O2 sensors, anyone know the best place to buy them? Sucks they are so fragile!

Brett

HFC or test pipes can have die draw fluid, CAT installation residues, etc. that may destroy an O2 sensor.

So i installed the NTK sensors over the weekend, reset ECU for about 1 hour, threw codes within 20 miles, typical P152 code, (o2 Sensor).

Resest overnight for 10 hours, drove fine for 60 miles, then engine went into limp mode almost, constant P300 (lean code) and wouldn't accelerate well, shuddered, scared me frankly.

I took these out and put the stock ones back in, which gave me p300 and p152 codes, but never shuddered or drove poorly like the NTKs

What gives? Returning the NTK sensors now, what should i get otherwise? Rock Auto said the NTK is OEM?! Denso is not OEM for the downstream O2 Sensor.

Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on ?year? of your car:
Pre-cat seems to be Denso
Post cat looks to be Bosch, NTK/NGK
I am assuming your issue is with post cat?

Working with Honda MAP sensors I know that small value changes make things happen you don't want. Same with O2 to a degree.

1. Reset ECU via start button and throttle sequence.
2. If you can get the new cats very hot and burn off any residue etc. with the OE sensors in.
3. Swap out with OEM sensors for that year. Drive and reply.

Some have suggested a re-flash of ecu and that sounds like an expensive and unnecessary option. I hope someone else with experience can chime in also.

If you find out who makes your OE sensor (and year) I would like to know.
