jerky autotransmission

jerky autotransmission
I only have less than 1k miles on my 2010 G37x @41k. Although this G37's autotransmission is never as creamy smooth as 2013 X5 we have, overall the car runs fine. It's still smooth, just not creamy/BMW smooth. But time to time I found that the transmission can be kind of noticeably (but far from being terribly) jerky when accelerating or decelerating.
Today I drove the car 40 miles mixed highway and local, and for the first 30 miles I could really feel that the AT jerks when shifting up or down. Near the end of trip I played with Sports mode and due to my clumsiness I reved the engine to high ~7000rpm couple times before shifting up. I then back to D and after that somehow the car became smooth again. But I'm not sure these two things are really connected or just pure coincident.
Anyway, the bottom line is the AT on my G can be noticeably jerky, but not consistently so and probably only 5%-10% of the time. The jerkiness is far from being bad enough to let me worry sth going wrong. Nonetheless, what could be the possible cause/cure for this sympton? Should I do a fluid change or flush for the AT or reset ECU as mentioned in this forum? Thanks!

This is how I did it.
I went to this youtube video and watched it while doing the reset procedure. It's much easier this way because timing is everything. If you just play the video and follow his steps as the video is playing than you should be able to do it the first or 2nd time.
It helps to pull down the description bar and read it so you know what to expect for the next step he's about to do

Thank you all. I'll do the ECS reset first. As to update/TSB service at dealer, will it be free or how much I'd expect to pay? The car is still under 6 year powertrain warranty, will that cover the service?

It will be covered. If your car doesn't have the newest software that is, IT 027b? or something like that, you can find a few detailed threads on here.

Thanks for all the helps. I'm having trouble to reset ECU. I followed the procedure here and on youtube but I can't seem to get SES Service Engine Soon icon to blink. Don't know why. I'll try a few more times if still not working I may have to go ahead to try disconnecting battery..
