Transfer case was leaking

At 39,000 I saw some fluid/oil leaking from the transfer case seal I think.

Took it to the dealer and they fix it.

Can I assume that in order to fix the seal and/or what ever was causing the leak, they would have needed to replace the fluid/oil as well ???

That would be a fair assumption. Unless they just wiped it down and sent you on your way

well it was leaking, this was almost a year ago, and there is no leak right now. I am assuming they fixed it correctly.

Yes, I had to replace the transfer case seal as it was leaking and they replaced the fluid as well. I think the transfer case takes 1.5 quarts, so there's not a lot of cost involved.

Thanks for the info Jason05gt, I was just wondering - at least I won't have to replace the fluid anytime soon now.
