ECU and Transmission update by dealer, recommended?
Hello everyone!
i have a 2009 G37x, and I was a little skeptical about my iPod Plug in the center console because it didn't charge my iPod. i researched about it and i read that the car might need an update because the old system only charges old generation iPods. i called the dealership and they told me that there were two types of updates, the ECU one and the Transmission one. does anybody know if these are recommendable and if they actually make a big change or not?
Thanks!

An Update won't fix the charging of newer iDevices .... that was pin-out change done by Apple several years ago, You need to get an adapter. The tranny update fixed shifting issues on 7AT, I would get it.
