Uhhh... 4.08s = slower?

Seriously, these motors love them some V Power. Don't know what it is but you instantly notice a difference when you pull out of the gas station. The throttle response is better IMO. I run 32psi all around FWIW but it can also depend on the tire yer running....

I think it depends on the gearing of the other car, because if you are now shifting when his car is in a more optimal range of his power band then you have lost some of your advantage. You have added an entire shift as a variable in this roll since 3rd gear with 4.08 FD tops out at 89.54 mph. With the stock 3.692 FD 3rd gear tops out at 98.95 mph which is pretty much where you are saying you cut off. So how long it takes you to shift between gears also affects your advantage since you now have to shift earlier/more often.
Like BB said, the 60ft and 1/4 mile times at the track will tell you how fast you/your car is now (in a straight line at least). A roll race with your buddy has many variables and outcomes and shouldn't be used to really determine whether your car has gotten faster or slower.

Just got my ported M370 in the mail today so I'll put that on this weekend then hopefully get a tune next month! I hear a tune makes our car a whole new beast, so I'm excited for that!

the heat is a killer for these cars..Summer time my car feels like it lost about 50hp plus the altitude im at 2800ft sucks.but once winter rolls around it's like a whole new ball game..
the acceleration of the 4.08's off the line can't be beat..
i'm going to hit the track this winter and see what times the car will put down..

Yeah Sway, i noticed the difference when i filled up on 93 at a Shell station one evening when i had my '03 3.5L Altima and it had a little extra pep. It doesn't have the same VQ motor so maybe it's just Nissan motors in general or it has something to do with Shell gas.
Other makes have their recommended gas like Ford. They recommend "BP" and some models like my Ranger i leased even had it inscribed on their gas caps and some of the newer Mustangs do as well....
