Had that problem on my previous 06 G35
In addition I needed new brakes and a drivers side ballast
I decided not to spend the money on repairs and traded it in at 171796 miles.

My 2012 G37S came with all new parts and a warranty

Stock differential bushings are silicone filled rubber that will start leaking as early as 50k miles. However you can still drive on them, as all a busted diff bushing will do is make it a little wobbly on hard acceleration. If it really bothers you, you can replace the whole asembly with another oem part that will fail again after x number of miles or go for Whiteline polyurethane bushings kit that will probably outlast the car.

Not sure if you are still under warranty but it should be covered if you are.

Its a 2008 G37S 6MT, its out of warranty but I have a 3rd party extended warranty. Taking it to a local mechanic and seeing if my extended warranty is going to cover it. To be honest, Im ready to trade/sell this, nothing but trouble from the start.

*update

As expected the extended warranty i bought did not cover this. "internal lubricated parts are only covered" worthless.

I think I'm going to do a full swap downgrade, nothing but problems with this car. 2015 Honda Fit EX here I come LOL. Major ****ing downgrade but its brand new with 6 MT still and no debt.

I'll miss my G37 though, was good when it was working but after the CSC replacement and now this, no more money sink.

CSC and diff bushings are really the only things that need be replaced on these cars and only after a ton of miles, in some cases up to 100k. If you call that money sink you must have never owned a real money sink car.

For others who see this thread and building off what serega mentioned, this is a relatively simple fix and why not upgrade while doing it..here's a very detailed DIY for the process

https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-i...-bushings.html

At the same time I put whiteline bushings in (my oem one's were just fine and actually in good working order@ 41k miles) I swapped my differential out and upgraded to a pumpkin that has 3.69 FD (only $200 shipped for one off ebay with 60k miles on it). By far one of the best mod's I could have done for my '11 7AT coupe... the mechanical advantage added by the gear change for lower gear torque and improved off the line performance, it's what the heavy G needed, also the Whiteline bushings are nice upgrade in themselves as the axles and connection to the rear wheels through the steering wheel and pedals is improved. The bushings are like $100 and the labor is not bad if you have some basic tools and ability to move the rear sway, unbolt the exhaust some, and press things in with bolts/washers.

Also, most peoples experience is if you're under warranty (extended Infiniti elite warranty covers it too)-- dealer's will usually replace the entire rear subframe to fix the leaking bushing. Pretty ridiculous, but it's what they're told to do..and you end up with that same rear diff bushing that's filled w/ silicon and rubber- these burst on people with as little as 30k miles worth of wear sometimes. It's billed out as like $1700 worth of parts & labor.

krazyfiend I've also done bushings and final drive gear upgrade at the same time on my previous G35 coupe, I went with 4.08 final drive and it was a little too much, car was accelerating like crazy but the rpms were always a little too high for my liking, even in low gears. 3.69 is a good ratio for G37.

CSC and this going out at 71k, I wasn't going to gamble. Traded this in and I will revisit another Infiniti in due time.
