I just ordered mine. I used the link from the other thread:

https://www.frozenboost.com/water-to...7f10f7aea980af

I just ordered it from the site, straight to checkout and paid with paypal. I should be receiving it by the end of the week, and installing this weekend, hopefully. I'll update how it goes. One thing is that we'll probably have to flip our bumper beam upside down to get the tow hook out of the way. That wasn't mentioned here, so maybe it isn't an issue on the G front end. But there's a lot of info about it over on the 370Z boards.

The fittings should be the same as the ones on the Stillen unit. The question is if the Stillen hoses will be long enough. I guess that will depend on the final mounting position.

Thanks to ANMVQ for putting me on to this intercooler. It makes a HUGE difference.

It does not come with fittings... you will need to buy two threaded ones at any auto supply place. Got mine at Mopac. Get right angle ones. The hoses are long enough... just, on one side and on the other you will cut off a few inches. The Stillen one uses lame push on fittings. The other thing that I did was to trim off the brass drain nozzle at the bottom of the FB intercooler as it sticks out past the bottom of the bumper. You will also have to notch the bottom of the bumper slightly. you will ned to build a couple of custom brackets to mount it under the bumper... it fits perfectly. I offset mine slightly to maintain access to the tow bracket.

It was a bit of fiddling around... an afternoon project. 2-3 hours at a leisurely pace. You will need to drill holes in the bumper to attach brackets to hold the intercooler. Your'e not doing it yourself LOL
I tried to attach pics but had some grief. You will laugh when you see how wimpy the Stillen cooler is compared to the FB.

How do you figure it's that much better? just to clarify....the coolant line runs to the Frozenboost and then a line connects and runs to the stillen manifold...correct?

From: Framingham Ma,
Its in between the coolant pump and the mani is correct it replaces the SMALL one that Still attaches to the radiator. I improves the cooling radius but like 10 times . The length and depth of it give you a huge boost of the Stillen one.

It gets it away from the radiator and gives you options on upgrading the pump, coolant tank and or adding cooling fans if your tracking it.

I'm not going to lie....I am very nervous about fitment issues if there's drilling involved....and brackets? It didn't come with brackets....drilling holes in my front bumper? This sounds like it can turn awful. Idk how I feel about a 25 lb part being held on my car by a set of brackets that didn't even come with it and let alone the idea that these brackets have to be mounted via drilling holes in the bumper? Basically the unit would be held on the car by the bumper? that sounds pretty scary.

You sound like my wife... she freaked when she came home one day and I had the bumper off her car to install a CAI. Now she loves it LOL. I would not worry as this is the normal way to install intercoolers and everyone running a turbo will have this setup. Drilling a hole in the aluminum portion of the bumper is no big deal. Once the bumper skin is on it will be totally invisible. The difference between the intercoolers is huge. I trimmed off the brass drain valve as it sticks out a little past the bottom of the bumper and you don't want to be bending that on curbs

Heat is your enemy for performance and in Calif you get v warm summers. Warm air is expanded is is no good for generating power... I know that you already know that. Drive around for a bit and see if you can touch the charge tube or the intake manifold. My manifold was so hot I couldn't touch it with the Stillen intercooler. With the FB it is still warm after spirited driving but not screaming hot like it was before, superheating the intake air. To quote ANMVQ... after the first hard pull you will feel like you are towing a boat. I actually had to check which map I was on as the car lost so much power.

The coolant capacity is also much higher with the bigger intercooler so you have more fluid in the system to dissipate heat.
